I am having an issue with the USB 3 port on the right hand side of the laptop. It will intermittently stop recognising the device plugged in. Typically a USB 3 disk. Has happened a few times with multiple disks. Also copying from a rt hand port to a left hand port.. the disk will loose connectivity if I am copying 50-100 GB and the speeds average under 20 MBPS.

Left side ports seem to work just fine...

Any idea's or do I just ask Dell for a replacement?

I would say replacement if under warranty this sounds more like a hardware board problem and something that you won't be able to fix. But make sure your bios is up to date as well but if update does fix the problem then I recommend a replacement of new laptop not refurbished laptop otherwise get your money back.

I have another issue with USB that is only present on the right USB 3.0 port. I have a wireless mouse receiver in the USB 2.0 port. Whenever I connect a pen or HDD to the USB 3.0 port on the right the mouse lags or doesn't work at all.

So far I haven't been able to solve the issue. It happens for me on all USB 3.0 ports. I have to remove the USB cable (or disable/enable the network adapter).

Interesting.... I am using a USB2 Gigabit adapter as well.... weird. Will test it without the adapter plugged in...
