I would love to hear your experience in doing it.
I am eager to do so, but don't want to be the first one to do so, so any information, tips and experiences you can share are much appreciated.

Running here on a 9550 w/o hassle.

Upgrade
-
Clean installed my 9560, I always do on my laptop to save any issues, and it is nice to refresh things every 6 months.
-
Upgrade. No issues to report. No reason IMHO to go through the hassle of clean install. Just a waste of time
-
Upgraded fine for me - I did do a "reset" earlier on in the beta testing cycle and also like a periodic clean start / install - as appropriate of course (no right or wrong on this).
-
Relative to my desktops it took quite a while to complete, but the upgrade finished without any problems.

Updated but was very disappointed to find out my power options were deleted. http://www.rawinfopages.com/tips/2017/08/new-power-options-in-windows-10/
I would imagine many sites will be getting the "why is my laptop so slow now" threads. -
The settings (different power plans) are still there, they are just no longer shown. Get a third party tool to change power plans, and this tool will show and allow to switch to your former plans. The currently activated one is then again the only one you see in Windows.

Did my upgrade. Went without a hitch, was pleasantly surprised.

Other than this weird icon squish even with a fresh install, it went smoothly...

Configuration: XPS 15 9550 with Samsung 950 Pro SSD, Intel 8265 wireless AC adapter
Upgraded to the Fall Creators Edition with no problems.
I had earlier issues with Creators Edition (freezing, terrible network performance). I reinstalled Win10 Creators, but turned switched from RAID to AHCI mode in the BIOS before re-installation. I replaced my wireless with an Intel 8265 and it works great. The wifi and Bluetooth work much better; it was a great investment. I also used version 2.0 of Samsung's SSD driver, based on feedback from http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...creators-update-random-freezes.803412/page-11.
I noticed that since the upgrade to Fall Creators Edition, the Samsung SSD driver is now the Microsoft driver... but the Samsung Magician application shows that everything is OK, and it seems to run great. I decided not to mess with a good thing and left it alone. I had problems with version 2.2 of Samsung's driver and had to run 2.0 in Creators. -
You did not look carefully enough. The Samsung driver is still there, under 'Memory Controller'.
