So after a year of it being sat in the box after 2 weeks use due to a business partner pulling out of a deal I have decided I may as well sell this to go toward something else.
Question is do I break it for parts on eBay or try and sell it as a whole unit?
It looks brand new, it is the 4k panel, 500gb SSD and 16gb ram model
What do you think it is worth as a whole or parted out?

Sucks your business partner pulled out.
Hard to say what would be best.
Here in the states the screen seems to go for around $300, SSD $150, Ram $120, and motherboard around $450.
The laptop itself pre-owned goes for around $1200.
I'd probably just sell the unit as a whole, but you'd probably want to check local prices for you. -
You can always recoup your losses if you ever have to do business with the partner again in the futureGoNz0 and custom90gt like this. -
Sorry about the wonky associate GoNz0.
As the laptop is virtually unused vs. beaten to hell I would do a quick sale whole. Selling parts is a hassle and takes a lot of time; plus you have the risk of getting stuck with at least one item, killing any potential upside.
Right now, that used 7700HQ config sells on the US refurb site (including 1-year mail-in limited warranty & Dell's typical short return window) for $1,418. Plus VAT which in the US ranges from roughly 0%-12% based on city/state. That jibes with the estimate of @custom90gt
Of course UK pricing and tax schemes will be different.custom90gt likes this. -
Thanks, I will consider popping it on ebay but will probably offer it on here like I did my old 9550.
I just don't like eBay and the likes unless the buyers are going to show up with cash so that really limits the sale.
Don't worry about the deal going south, stuff happens and the game hosting business is so competitive vs increasing data center prices to get somewhere with a good ping it really wasn't going anywhere. Change of direction needed -
eBay is terrible. I spent a lot of time laptop bidding on eBay and Yahoo auction sites. I can't say every auction was a scam. But a very large percentage were. What was most shocking was the variety of new scams. As a small seller or buyer, protections are nil.
This site has less reach but your ratings have a value to buyers. And you can see reputations for buyers also. . . -

I've been ripped off selling stuff on ebay too many times to count. People buying from hacked paypal accounts, saying the transaction was unauthorized after I shipped the item, etc. Thankfully I haven't lost a dispute with ebay or paypal yet, but it's super annoying going through that crap.

2 days later another Irish address bough it, turns out it was his sister, she also sent a piccustom90gt likes this. -
But what makes you think it would be more worth as parts than a complete package?

Well, that's what you say now but when I receive mine next week and find out that Dell has solved all thermal problems... :d
But seriously, I guess upgrading from 9560 to 9570 isn't really a game changer.

XPS 9560, break it or sell complete?
