I don't know if anyone else has come across this problem, but back on my old computer (on XP), i could record myself playing guitar into the line-in and i could hear what i was playing coming through my comp speakers.

Since i have got my XPS i've been on vista, and i havent been able to get the sound coming through the speakers as i record.

microsoft think i should be able to

but i cant, and i figured it must be the audio drivers
is there a way i can fic this/an alternate driver that will give me this function
    ?
