    XPS Guesses

    Just wondering when the new Dell line might come out. I came across some information today stating that the x7800 processor (Intel Extreme Core 2) is expected to release in HP by the end of July and in Asus and Dell shortly after.

    I can't imagine Dell offering this in anything but their XPS notebooks. This makes me think an XPS refresh could be due in August. Hopefully that times along with the 8800m release.

    Keep in mind that the x7800 is 2.6 ghz and the x7900 will replace it in early September at 2.8 ghz for about the exact same price.

    Interesting news though. Some good stuff happening, and I think the XPS line is about to pop up.

    you're probably right. that would explain why they haven't refreshed their M1710s when they refreshed everything else.
