    Evening/morning all,
I've just purchased a new laptop Dell XPS & I'm trying to link it up to my Xerox 6110 printer, without success.

I've used the original printer driver disc & downloaded it just from Xerox, no joy.
The printer works with my old Dell inspiron 5100.

The printer is set as my default but keeps coming up with a printer error.

There is only a single usb port on the laptop & when you are installing the printer you are asked to choose from quite a few ports (none actually identified as USB). Could this be the problem?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

    Regards

First make sure your using the correct version of the driver (x86 or x64)

Did you connect the printer to the computer before installing the driver?

What I would recommend is to, unplug and delte the printer, then uninstall the driver software, and restart. After restarting, install the driver software, and connect the printer when the driver asks you to.
