    XPS L502 - how to turn optimus off ??

    hi

    I want to ask if i can turn the optimus off and use the 540 gpu all the time regardless of the power issue ?
    so that i can run the videos and everything on it ?

    You can't turn it 'off' because it's built into the driver. What you can do is open NVIDIA Control Panel>Manage 3D Settings and customize all programs to use the 540M

    As villosa said. Go into the control panel and just set the system default to the NVidia. This is effectively turning it off.

    Yes, but the HDMI will force use of the NVidia card as the port is hardwired to the NVidia as I understand.
