Hello, I am really interested in the XPS L502X but since I am a student living in a dorm I am kind of worry the mobility of the XPS L502X due to its weight. So I am to ask how much is XPS L502X weighs especially with the 9 cell battery? Does it feel heavy if you carry it out too much?

    Thank you very much!

    Straight from the Dell website:

Easy to carry around with a good backpack or bag. The weight has never bothered me, but I'm also not a vegetarian. :)

Not heavy at all. Mine is easy. Much lighter than it looks.

@gtkansan what a coincidence, I looked at your sale thread a couple times already. I tried to PM you but it seems that I need 5 posts to use PM so I try to increase post count right now. haha

I'm going to assume you haven't had a year or so yet of college to fully realize this: You may well have BOOKS heavier than the XPS 15. I went 5 years lugging around an Inspiron 1150 that weighed as much as my XPS 17...along with 2-3 engineering texts each day. It was heavy, but you manage.

My friend carried his M1730 to class fairly often too. Now that was a brick!

Well OK. Honestly, I wouldn't mind carrying my 17" to class if I was still in school, aside from it being a bit large. A 15" should be great. Plus, it has great battery life for whatever you want to do during class :D
