Does anyone know the model of the 640 GB 7200 rpm drives in the L702X XPS 17's? Haven't gotten mine yet. EDD of Thursday.

Thanks. Do you know if it supports RAID? I got the dual 640's. The HM 67 is supposed to support Intel RST raid but I haven't read about anyone using it.

I don't see a reason why it shouldn't support Raid, but you never know with dell. Make sure the drives are identical for best results.

FYI, my Raid config through the Intel ICH10R chipset uses the Intel Matrix Storage Manager, but this is on an X58 desktop.

The question is not if the HDD supports RAID (any HDD can be used in RAID), but if the XPS17 has this feature, and the answer is no (from what I read).
