i've had this problem for a while, i forgot if it was happening with itunes 7.x.x.x

but i know that even with the update 8.0.0.35, i cannot use itunes for long before it completely freezes. i cannot close it in taskmanager, and when i try to restart the machine, it freezes the machine.

anyone else having this problem ? i've got the latest of every driver for all my hardware on my machine, don't know what's causing this problem....

i just had another freeze but this time with outlook. it's beginning to look more like either a vista x64 issue or a hardware issue....

I downgraded to XP Pro SP3 and have never had an issue.

Sorry I can't be of Vista help to you.

i imagine 64-bit is the issue, but i'm no expert.

i also imagine 64 bit is not up to par either. but you'd think that after all these years in the OS business, they'd make this one right.

either that, or hardware vendors & driver suppliers are doing their own thing and subsequently results in problems.
