Okay I am going to make the move and get the M1330, but I have 3 issues which I cannot decide.

I could go the full blown system and max it out, but is the Maximum configuration really going to give me the power and speed I am thinking?

In brackets is what I sort of want, but do I need? And how much performance will 4GB or ram give me over 2GB?

    Processor - 2Ghz or (2.2Ghz)
    Memory - 2GB or (4GB)
    Vista - (Business) or Ultimate

I just keep thinking to myself, that if I am going to get a laptop, why not just max it out. Except if I go with 2GB of ram, I can get Office Professional 2007, but 4GB will cost what office 2007 would cost, and I really do not want to get 4GB and office 2007, it's one or the other for that decision.

I haven't ordered yet myself but I'm thinking

    2Ghz
    2Gig
    Vista Home Prem

My dilemna is 6 cell or 9 cell cause I don't want that height of the 9 cell.
I have a question via email and haven't gotten an answer yet but what I want is both

I am thinking 6 cell (sit flush, will make it look good when carried out and about) and maybe ordering a 9 cell extra for home use.

BUT I asked on the online chat for a price, and the only answer I kept getting was the guy wanting my phone number to talk about my buying options. bugger that. I just want to know the price of getting 9 cell battery.

    upgrade to 4GB later.

You can always get a 6cell and a 9 cell.

2.2 Ghz(if you have the money)
2GB ram (upgrade later if you want/need)
Get office software elsewhere for much much cheaper (school, retain store, online, work?)
    Business

    more processor speed always helps
keep 2GB worry about the rest later (4GB is only gonna get cheaper methinks)
    Vista Business is plenty good
    Openoffice.org <- Get it

2.0 GHz - i kind of regret spending the extra money on the 2.2GHz personally...

2GB of ram should be enough unless your doing heavy gaming where you can update aftermarket anyways. I would personally buy 1GB from Dell (i think you save $100) and just buy 2x1GB sticks for like $50-$70 afte market (not including the two 512mb ones you can sell :p)

premium or business since, imo, its ultimate isnt worth the $100-$200

for office professional try getting it through school if possible. Usually alot cheaper.

Just my opinion... i would obviously take the upgrades if dell was willing to lower the prices though (depending on your luck of the CSR draw) :D
