    Hey Guys,

My m1330 has been having some video problems. Yesterday, while playing BF2, the screen froze and everything kinda flashed green for a bit. Left it for a bit, and then it kicked me back out to the desktop where it said the video something (driver I think) recovered from a failure.

Didn't give it much thought, but I've had major troubles today.
When I try to boot up the computer, i get nothing, and then after a bit, green vertical lines appear..and then more and more vertical lines appear (different colours).

Sometimes, when restarting, I can actually get to the system recovery application. The computer tries to fix itself, and when it finishes, it restarts and then I get the black screen issues again.

My guess, some issue with my video card...but beyond that, I got no clue. Anyone else have this?

If I send it back to dell for warrenty repair (I got this in Aug and have complete care for 3 years), will they wipe out my drive, or just swap my drive into a new computer?

    Thanks
    Dan

Go into safe mode and reinstall your video driver. Assuming the screen is working in safe mode, if this fails call dell.

Sounds like you might be in the early stages of Gpu failure due to a bad motherboard. See if the following thread is similar to what you are going through

To answer your drive question; you'll remove your hard drive before sending it in for repair
