I want to connect my XPS M1330 with my Toshiba LCD-TV. Therefore I would need a resolution of 1360x768 (VGA-connection). I have installed the latest Dell-driver (31.Oct.2007), but I didn“t find a way to get this resolution. Every other setting (1280x720 or 1440x900) is a problem for my TV. The quality of the HDMI-connection is not as good as the VGA-connection. Has anybody a res. of 1360*768 and an idea what I can do? Use an different driver, tools ....

    Thank you,
    Walter

Go into your nvidia control panel and change the settings there (right click on the desktop)

Thank you, but I really know HOW to change the resolution...

What I mean is that my driver does not support 1360x768 pixels.
Is there anybody who has a different driver installed or is using any tools to get 1360x768 pixels at the VGA-port?

just use HDMI and select 720p as your TV is probably "HD Ready"

HDMI connection is far better than VGA LOL
maybe your TV just has a crappy scaler. hence you need to select 720p

I know it's been a while since you posted, I had the same dilemma.

download the nVidia nForce application. It has a more robust control panel that will let you create a custom setting for your TV.

Works great with my vostro 1500 with the same video card.

You could always choose your LCD-TV as the primary device in the nvidia control panel. That way the the GPU will automatically scale the screen resolution to the native res of the TV. It worked in my case and it also solved the screen tearing I was suffering from during video playback.
