Hi, I was wondering if you could change the "default" brightness, as whenever my laptop restarts/starts, the brightness is always set to max, even though I adjusted the brightness using the Fn+Up/Down buttons before.

Right click on your power icon in the taskbar, and go into the settings there. There are options to change the brightness when on AC power, battery power, etc.

Well if you're using vista you can just go into power options and then adjust the default brightness for high performance plan (or whatever your notebook starts up with)

Also, you can adjust such settings in the BIOS.

Wow. Thanks for the quick replies and help. :D I'm new to Vista and this is my first laptop, so I didn't know what I was doing. xD
