    Hi,

I am using a 700m with rock solid keyboard and a friend's new M1330, and the right side of the M1330 has a springy keyboard (keyboard flex). Is this normal for the M1330? Should my friend ask Dell for a new computer, have Dell replace the keyboard? Is there a way of identifying who makes the keyboard, and is there a model that is better in terms of quality?

I did search the forums but couldn't find any references to keyboard makers, nor a definitive answer on whether the keyboard should be rock solid (like the 700m)

UPDATE: Dell tech support was great, and said that the right side is over the DVD player so it should be solid. They are sending a tech to reseat the keyboard. I will report back.

I replaced my keyboard twice (on my 2nd 1330) and it didn't fix the flex/spongy right side.

Sometimes a cable can get in the way and cause it. Mine were just doomed to flex because no fix worked (for me, at least).
