I just replaced the whole palmrest on my M1330. It came with a plastic cover which was stuck onto it which I took off. I just noticed though that when I rub the palmrest with my finger while the AC adapter is plugged in I can feel a charge vibrating. It's stronger if I rub the surface lightly. At first I thought it was just some friction which was causing the vibrating but it doesn't do this when I unplug the adapter. The palmrest is made of aluminium so yeah it's metal but I didn't have this issue with the previous palmrest. Has anyone else got this problem?

Does your AC adapter have 2 or 3 prongs? If it has 2, then it is missing "ground"(round/cylinder one) and that should be the reason why you feel a little tingle/shock.
Call up Dell and see if they will replace it.
What is the difference between two- and three-pronged plugs?

Ah! Yes it has 2 prongs, thank you. That makes sense. I bought my M1330 from the US but I'm in Australia. I guess I'll just buy a new power cable with the ground prong since it can be detached from the ac adapter.
Edit: Actually, I can't do that since the ac adapter is only for 2 prong cables. Guess I'll need to buy a new 3 prong adapter.
The adapter I have atm is a 90W adapter. How do I know if a 65W adapter will work? I know the M1330 uses both but are there requirements to be able to use a 65W adapter? Also, if you can use either, is there any difference in terms of performance? Charge time or something? The M1330 originally had the nvidia motherboard but it's been changed to the intel motherboard.
