    Hi,

I have a Dell XPS M1330. It comes with an IR remote which has a whole load of useful buttons.

I was wondering if there is any software out there which could change the keystroke each button does. I have tried looking for myself but all to no avail!

I know the remote works with Dell QuickSet however, it does not even mention the remote in the QuickSet settings, never mind allowing you to tweak it!

    Thanks :)

think you can just get any IR remote program... they should have 'programmable' functions that you can test your remote out with and edit the functions

that saying, it'll probably won't be effective.... IR requires line of sight and short distances, meaning you are close to your laptop already... get a wireless/BT mouse.... more functions/usability

Thanks for the reply. With the IR remote I can remotely control the laptop from the other side of the room as long as there is a line of sight and that is good enough for me.

Ill try finding some IR remote programmes and will let you know how it goes.

    Thanks
