Does the M1330 have some sort of flash cache installed by default, like Turbo Memory? My M1330 would boot Firefox almost instantaneously, but my desktop running Vista Ultimate takes around 3 seconds to open it up, as if it's not loaded in RAM. It's the same with XP. Both has 2GB of RAM. I do recall changing some settings in my desktop when it had 1 GB, so I may reinstall and see what happens.

No, the XPS line does not and I believe that it is not an option to get it.

Sounds like super fetch is working on your laptop but not on your desktop.
