I've looked around quite a bit and I haven't gotten a straight answer. We all know the M1330 is tiny, light, and super-portable, but is the casing going to hold up?
The Latitudes and now the Inspirons are magnesium alloy, which I've heard great things about (on the Latitudes) as far as durability and sturdiness is concerned. The XPS is brushed aluminum, but as far as I can tell the top (the part you choose the color for) is plastic, like the old Inspirons. Can anyone attest to the durability of this?
If I get the M1330, it's going to be because it's light and portable, and I'd hate to think I'm trusting a little sheet of plastic to protect such a large investment.

Same here, I need something very durable that can handle bumps and being in my backpack everyday. The top plastic casing and LCD screen seems to flex a lot and very thin. What do people think about this?
