Haha, i'm back with my M1330. Not to rant. Just to offer up a tip to all you M1330 users who suffer from EXTREME heat and sluggish PC performance as a result of the heat.

So I took apart my M1330. Pulled out the Heatsink (very, very easy to do considering the stupid dell tech that came over last time lost 85% of my screws.)

Anyways, take your heatsink out. turn it over. See the 4 tiny screws on the black part of the fan bezel? Unscrew those and pull out the fan from the heatsink structure.

I found, literally, a centimeter thick wall of dust blocking ALL airflow out of the back of my M1330. I used to run at 80 idle, now I run at 38 idle... That much difference from a densely packed, perfectly formed dust bunny.

I wish i had pictures, but I was just too excited that I pulled out the dust and stuck it back in my dell.

Anyways, sad to say I dropped 2k on a macbook just because of the constant dell issues. Probably solved
    now?..

holy crap..i used to get 40 min battery life on my 6 cell...now i get 2 hours..who knew heat could cause so many issues..

This is old news already posted in this forum but it's a reminder to others to do a maintenance on ones unit.
If you have not you also might want to checkout the copper mod on your cooling system.
