    Hello there,

Having kind of a strange problem with my lappy and Win7. My mute button has no reaction on pressing it while all other media buttons still do their actions. Does someone also have the same issue as mine with m1330 and Win7 ?

    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
QuickSet and Sigmatel drivers for Vista x64 installed (Had same issue with Windows 7 default audio drivers)

Thank you in advance, guys !

I am with SXPS 1640 and all buttons works fine :)

Try using Vista x64 and if problems comes call to them, they will replace the palmrest.

Thank you for you answer. Well, I want to hear some info from m1330 users with Windows 7 :) I think that it's some kind of driver incompatibility with win7 OS :)

I have some troubles with my Windows install so I'm going to do a clean install and then I'll write if mute button issue still exists.

Is it so you done all my mods then? ;)
Yes the best thing to do is reinstall OS since your is a bit unstable.
Format HDD INSTALL OS with internet connection would be a good idea (update drivers etc)
I'll be away for the weekend back on forum say Monday but if you get in a rut others will be able to help you Good luck.

Is it better to install the sigmatel drivers from Dell or should I just keep using the default drivers? Verything is working normally I think....

for me, m1330 doesn't have audio with default installaiton, had to use sigmatel from Dell...

i think the default drivers, if working for you, probably don't have the two headset plugs working
