I have a question for all you more experience laptop users. If you could purchase an XPS M1330 w/ 6 cell (slimmer) versus a Inspiron 1318 w/ 9 cell battery (sticks out and harder to carry in bag)- and all the other specs are identical (processor, Ram, HD, etc.) - which would you purchase - if the XPS is $300 more... thanks.

It really depends what's important to you. I for one will not buy a boring ugly laptop. To some people, looks don't matter one bit. So we can't answer the question for you.

edit: actually, the inspiron 13 looks a lot like the xps m1330 except for the stainless steel palmrest area and lid design, so i'd buy the inspiron 13 if it was $300 cheaper.

The M1330 has a few more options like HDMI, dedicated graphics, SSD, LED screens, a different look (slightly), slimmer and it weighs less. It just depends on your needs.

I was gonna buy the Inspiron 13 when Dell had the $200 off $899+ promo, but bought the M1330 from the Dell Outlet store instead -- mainly because of its LED Backlit display and 7200RPM HDD and its price, which I got for only $909 - 15% off coupon = $773.
