Anybody familiar with the graphics cards offered on the XPS M1330? I am leaning towards ordering with the Intel integrated solution. Will that be sufficient for normal computing?

I dont game and I dont do photoshop etc. I may rip some DVDs etc, but that doesnt require dedicated graphcis card - or does it?

Yep, if you don't game or photoshop then the x3100 is perfect for you. If you want HDMI though (I think the x3100 doesn't have it) you will need whatever dedicated card there is, which is probably the 8400M GS.

If you don't need dedicated graphics, don't get it.

Go in for the Intel integrated X3100, that should be more than sufficient for your needs!

If i make the same choice again, I would not get the dedicated graphics for the M1330.

I originally got it because I thought I might link it with a larger monitor, but after seeing the LED LCD, which I am very satified with, I regret spending the extra money for something I probably won't need.

    It also runs hotter.

I ended up getting the integrated graphics card. A good choice so far - battery life is really good and it does what I need.
