I was wondering what would be the standard idle temperatures?
Here are my temps, which I personally think are a little too high.

    Processor's: 45-52 degrees celsius
    GPU: 58-62 degrees celsius

    Should I bother calling Dell?
I want to make sure I get what I paid for ._.

Oh and another issue, Ive seen people play Crysis on maximum settings using an xps m1530, I am unable to even get to the medium setting before resulting in massive lag. Could their be a fault in my graphics card?

Temperatures are fine... they are normal. Why driver version are you using?

u wont be able to run crysis (from what i've read) on max settings. u'll have to lower the resolution and/or set most settings to medium for playable FPS. but those idle temps seem fine. do u have the A08 or A09 bios?

Okie... those temp' are normal.. just in case u have a 6-cell battery, you might want to give some ventilation below the laptop. if you have a 9-cell, then just carry on enjoying your system :)

    6 Cell. Running on A09
Should I buy a laptop cooler that raises the back end up?

Well, you can - check out the Zalman NC2000... Or you can even just place some firm plastic blocks / foam blocks below n behind the laptop. The tilt would be nice to type as well.

But even with the 6-cell, you are having good temp'... I guess you could wait for some more time and see if temp' get higher n then get a cooler, if you dont want to get it now.

i haven't really seen too many coolers that actually raise, just the back end up. but most will raise the angle of the unit as a whole. really helps durin long use periods. if u ask around, u will probably get recommendations for 1 of the 3 coolers: cryo LX, zalman, NP infinity. i, obviously, would recommend the cryo LX. hands down. ;)

Just looking at the thread with the invisible shield, im wondering which one to get first.
Im always on the move and dont want to damage my laptop ._.
39USD (is it?) seems quite a lot for plastic

Mine has gone up to 77 during heavy usage, and still I understand that is not a dangerous level.

109.. wow, make sure you have BIOS A09, but I think you're looking at fan problems.
