Something odd has been happening recently while playing Killing Floor which I haven't had with other games.

It doesn't happen always but does occasionally happen after an hour or so of playing. I usually get around 30-40fps but it will all of a sudden jump up to 60fps and then maybe a few minutes later the screen will just go black/blank. Sometimes the increase in fps will last maybe 30 minutes, but the screen only goes blank when the fps has increased. A lot of the time when playing the fps won't increase and I won't get any blank screen. I can still hear everything in the background until it then freezes. Alt tab, alt f4, ctrl alt delete....nothing works and so I have to hard reset the computer.

My temps are fine. GPU never goes over 70C and CPU never over 60C as I've undervolted and am using a notebook cooler. Not overclocking.

I can't explain the increase in fps. This might just be an isolated incident and a problem with the game? But just wondering if people have had anything similar when playing games. I'm just not hoping it's something to do with the GPU.

That can easily mean a problem with the game itself, conflicting with your drivers or even your OS, could you post some specs, OS version, Video driver version etc..?

also, you can check out the game's homepage to see if they have taken out a patch for it ( i got a similar problem with another computer running Hitman blood money, and a patch fixed it )
