Does XPS M1530 support dual-layer or double-layer DVD write? I couldn't see any info anywhere on my system configuration, or maybe I am not looking at the right place.

I have been reading the posts since long, but haven't found any confirmed info for XPS 1530. My drive is a TEAC DVD+-RW DVW28SLC

    Anyone has any idea?

Yes it does. At least thats what dell claims, i havent tried that feature out yet. Almost all laptops today support it.

Yup it works, tested it myself on a DVD+R DL. I believe it even supports DVD RAM but haven't tested it yet.

    Thanks everyone.

RobtRoma, appreciate the info, I found that later in the manual too. I needed to confirm if the drive I have is capable of doing it or not or anyone had any issues. Now, I can buy some blank disks and try out - peace of mind ;)
