Hi, i have a Dell XPS M1530 with the audio stuttering problem. I found a driver package that reduce the stuttering problem.
Please give it a try and tell if it works for you:

Note: Make a test whit your current drivers, and then with te upgrade..
1) Plug in headphones
2) Turn volume down to less than 15%
3) Close all media players
4) Play Windows Sounds ( Control Panel/Sound/Sounds/ for example Select Device connect)
I read these steps here:

With original drivers you will notice that at the end or start of each sound, a pop occurs. Then you also could try with music videos but this way is better to compare results. You could power off wlan and test again, in my system the pop also occur with wlan off.
I also tested de DPC Latency, in vista the latency is greater than in XP, but i have the same problem in both O.S.

By now, the best results is with this driver from IDT.
Thank's in advance.
Andres.
