    XPS M1530 Choppy Sound on Vista (64-bit) Startup

    Vista plays a sound when it starts up and enters the user select screen. Whenever I start up my notebook, the sound is really really choppy on this note. Like skipping in and out. After that, it's fine.

    I never had this problem when I had 32-bit Vista installed on the notebook. But everything else with the sound seems to be the same.

    Anyone know a solution? Thanks!

    Im guessing alot of things are being loaded.

    Try disabling the superfetch service.
