So my expresscard spring/eject has failed and Dell is sending a complete new MB and a tech to rem & rep said MB tomorrow. I was wondering if I need to observe or look out for while the tech is doing said job?

Yeah, whenever a tech comes out to do something on my computer, I take detailed pictures/video. Then I watch them do their work. That way, I can have proof in case they screw up or break or scratch something. I know it's a little paranoid, but I've heard horror stories.......lol

While what the above poster said is a good suggestion, I wouldn't be overly worried! :)
The techs should know what they're doing, after all it IS their job. If nothing else at least watch them do their work and learn something if you can! :D

I think he didn't connect the keyboard right. It seems that some keys changed their locations :D

Yeah it appears I fat-fingered that last post. The keyboard was removed fine from what I saw. The new heat syncs are bigger though, and it also appears to have a different model fan.

    I was just kidding :D

Is the difference in heatsyncs only in size? I hope you get better cooling with the new setup.
    Good luck!

The reason he probably said that it was overheating as he took out the old fans is by looking at the remaining thermal grease, which can only be seen after the heatsinks are taken out. ;)
