    How can I tell if an outlet notebook has the LED screen? Or would it plainly say LED on the specs or is it hidden in the jargon below :)

    Some say:
    15.4 WSXGA+ Laptop Screen with TrueLife
    15.4 WSXGA+ Laptop Screen
    15.4 WXGA Laptop Screen Display with TrueLife

    whats with the + after WSXGA and whats the difference in the WSXGA and WXGA

    The XPS I orderd has the 15.4 WXGA Laptop Screen Display with TrueLife, is this a LED or none of the outlet have LED?

    I'm sure the outlet notebook will specifically mention whether or not is has a LED screen. If you've got a "Laptop Screen Display with TrueLife" it is probably not an LED screen. Since the LED machines (especially those at higher resolutions) are still relatively new, I highly doubt the outlets are going to be getting many for a while.

    WXGA = 1280 x 800
    WSXGA = 1440 x 900
    WSXGA+ = 1680 x 1050

    Thanks for the info. So do you think its worth not getting the WXGA w trulife and steping up to find one with the WSXGA+ w/ Tru Life? Is the difference that better?

    Honestly depends on your preferences. I've got a WUXGA, but I only use the native resolution for a few select tasks; I can't stand looking at the tiny, tiny icons for too long. If you want the extra screen estate, go for the WSXGA+ and remember that you can always turn down the resolution if the native is too small.

    Isn't it supposed to be
    WXGA = 1280 x 800
    WXGA+ = 1440 x 900
    WSXGA = 1680 x 1050
    ?
