XPS M1530/M1330 $200 gift card

I purchased both of my laptops on Dec-20th but still haven't get the gift card yet. I called and e-mail dell couple times and they said one of my laptop should receive the gift card soon and the other is not qualify(m1530) WTF? So I called in again today and they told me they are backlogging and only have the info on Dec 11. and I need to contact American Express for updated info. I called American Express and they told me will call me back within 7 business day! WTF? Any of you guys purchased your laptop around DEC 20 or later and already received the gift card? Did you guys ever contact Dell? If so who and which department did you guys talk to? I am getting very frustrated with this BS.

I received my M1330 on about 11-12-2007, and the $200 card did not arrive until after Christmas.....so it took me about 1 1/2 months to get mine.

The goofy thing is, if you spend more than $200, you can't put the difference on your Dell Preferred account, you have to use another credit card

I bought my 1530 around the 20th and have not received my gift card yet. I called them about a week ago and the said it takes 5 to 6 weeks.

 

I bought mine (M1530) on the Dec. 14th, received it on the 21st, and still havn't received my $200 card...they told me 6-8 weeks when I called in early January.

 

Please let me know if you guys get the gift card.. I still need to call my sale guy to help me resolve the problem with M1530 gift card.

 

I ordered my xps 1530 on December 18th, 2007 and still have NOT received my $200 gift card from Dell. That is ridiculous. My calls went without any good explanation--each company passing the buck so to speak.

i haven't received mine either and i sent mine back 2 weeks ago but i order it on Dec 17th

 

I received my M1330 Dec 9th and got my $200 gift card on 1/22. Spend it immediately on a new Dell 24" LCD.

 

My 8 week limit on receiving the card ended on the 4th, so I gave them a call. The rep told me they were backed up on getting them shipped out, and it might take another 4-6 weeks. I told her that they send them out through email all the time, so a shipping provider problem was no excuse, and that I didn't plan to wait another 4-6 weeks. They offered a $100 card as compensation which I gladly took ( ), and I now have a printer and computer lock en route.

If they owe you a card, you shouldn't just sit around. That's an amount of money worth... working for. I had to call general customer service because the credit card people dropped my call twice, so I wouldn't bother with them.

I think their original claim was it would take a maximum of 8 weeks from the date of purchase to arrive. If it's been longer than that for you like it was for me... have at them.

 

soory to bring a dead thread back to life but i ordered my xps m1530 at the end of december and no gift card. did u guys recieve a confirmation of the giftcard{i mean an email} when u ordered. also if u used the 200 off coupon code will u still get the gift card

 

I received no confirmation but received cards well over 8 weeks after the order was "delivered".

Hmm...I'm going to follow this thread, until I receive my gift card. When I ordered my 1530 on 1/4 I was told I qualified for the $200 gift card (I also had additional circumstances that led to this) or so they told me, and an e-mail attachment w/the gift card information was attached to my Dell Quote.

When, I asked why it wasn't attached to my Order Confirmation or Invoice, my Sales rep assured me that it was sent separately by a different department, and I would receive it within 8 weeks of shipment of my order.

So, my order was shipped on 1/19/08 & received on 1/22/08. I guess, I will really start to worry the week of 3/10/08.

I did make one phone call though a few weeks back to Dell Customer Care, just to "follow-up", and was basically told that they cannot verify at this time when I will be receiving my Gift Card, nor could they find it in the system. But, if I indeed have documentation, then I should plan on receiving it.

I'll wait until then, as there were cirumstances that led to my receiving the gift card, in addition to the qualifying purchase at that time. And, if I don't have it then, well.. "hell, have no furry..." LOL

 

if you used the 200$ coupon with this order you won't be getting a gift card
