I hope this hasn't been addressed before, I searched around but there's some pretty long M1530 threads. Anyway, a relative's M1530's monitor has been having trouble, and it's out of warranty.
The monitor is no longer even recognized by the laptop. Using an external monitor works fine. I'm told that this happened sometimes in the past, but with luck would come on after a couple tries powering on. However, now it seems gone for good.
Just thought I'd post here if anyone has had a similar experience before dismantling it. Is it possible this is only an inverter issue? Or would that only affect the backlight? I suppose a cable could have come partially unplugged, but nothing is ever that simple.![]()
Any insight is appreciated.
