also another qurrie is, I have noticed a lot of compalint regarding the wsxga+ samsung screens and them being grainy and fuzzy, has this been rectified, and you are no longer using samsung displays

the lowest I got the system was a T7500 with 1050 display and blu-ray was 890.00 including delivery and tax, so trying for that again in the near future as that offer ended on the 27 feb

Sorry, but several people have already been told that the Samsung screens are being discontinued and only LG will be used, while others were told that the LG's aren't available anymore.
I'd take anything that rep says with a tablespoon of salt.

 

Wait, $900 for the XPS 1530 with a blu-ray!?!?!?

 

I think it was pounds, he said (UK) at the beginning of his post.. that would be a frikkin awesome deal tho, $900

 

Had the deal but it ended on the 27 feb, was at the checkout and everything, but one small problem, dont get paid until the 18th.

£ 889.00 =1800.00 canadian

with e-value coupons and dells own offer.

Plus if I do get a crap screen I have two conversations with two different people and I will just tell customer services, why are you teaching people to lie just to get a sale, only for them to give me my money back and them pay delivery and possible callout costs, does not really work in there favour, but hey, they do earn billions in profit so what do they care about a few systems eh!

 

£889 is still mega cheap if you get a blu-ray drive with it. on the UK site to upgrade to a blu-ray drive it costs £320 all by itself. but they rip us off in england. costs £98 for the wsxga+ screen which is $200 roughly. costs $100 or £50 on the US site. did i mention we pay £1.10 a litre for petrol and there 4.5 liters or something in a gallon so thats like $10 a gallon><

 

I guess that we love rip off brittian, super expensive, but damn those summer girls are hot, but I do miss those Cowboy girls in the country in alberta as well. lol

will keep looking and maybe will be able to get same deal, but is looking doubtful at the moment, will wait until every thursday to see.

If not might have to settle for a FZ31 Sony vaio as thats just below the dell, no 8600 gt graphics and no remote, and no sexy looks. But hey I will be sexy for the both of us eh!

 

Don't want to destroy your dreams, but Dell will probably never trash away Samsung for LG. Most people have received Samsung for WSXGA+ so it means their stock of that brand is quite considerable. Dell won't get rid of all these screens for an esthetical reason. The Samsungs are not defective, they are grainy and not as good looking. And the problem is, *good looking* and *not grainy* comes to a subjective point of view, meaning for you (and me too btw, not saying the Samsung are not bad, I've seen them), it is not acceptable, but for others, it would be. Now if there was an hardware problem with Samsung, that would be another story, but Dell goes with the best offer and if they have that many Samsung screens, there is a reason.

 

As of today, Dell Malaysia has finally made available 2 much awaited Intel Penryn processors for its XPS M1530 on its website.
