XPS M1530 UK Accessories

First post - so hello all.

I've noticed from some of the posts of US owners that they received a Dell Slip-case and Creative earbuds with their M1530s as standard.

Do the us UK customers get the same package? There's no mention of it on the Dell site.

I bought my wife an Inspiron 1520 for Xmas, have been so impressed I fancy a 1530 for myself (my birthday in a week ).
I'm going to phone Dell and see what kind of deal I can work out as a returning customer.

 

Yeah I think so, I have my 1530 ordered atm but it is still in the pre-production stage :S

By the way, you can get higher resolutions in dell uk if you phone them up, you can get the 1440x900 and the 1680x1050. For some reason there not listed on the website. The 1440x900 resolution costs £30 extra.

 

Did you order straight from the site or did you call to negotiate a discount? Just wondering how hard I should haggle. I'm going to aim to get around 20% off (sounds a lot I know, but that includeds the 10% code that's floating round on some sites and some fiddling with the e-value codes).

 

I am also planning to order the Xps M1530 this week.I spoke to a Dell rep today and he confirmed me that it DOES come with the slip case but he is not so sure about the earbuds.Yap I am in UK as well.Let us know if you find out anything about the availibility of the earbuds.

Voucher is under the XPS section of the site, should be valid on the 2nd. I'm sure the Dell reps will honour it to get a sale anyway.

I'm waiting to see if the new processors are released on the 6th and decide then. I hate it when money is burning away in the old pocket.

 

Well I ordered mine today, the rep didn't seem to think it came with a case but would come with ear-phones, but couldn't confirm if they were the Creative earbuds or not. I think I'll just have to wait and see on this one.

With discounts and haggling I got it down to £736 for the N01X5303 e-value code. Not quite as low as I'd intended to go (though I did get a higher spec). I may have got it lower with a bit more phoning round but a burst water pipe in my kitchen meant I had other issues to attend to!

One tip for anyone intending to purchase is to start with e-value N01X5302 and spec it up to the same level as N01X5303 since it works out cheaper to start with.

Est delivery is the 15th - I'm actually quite excited about my new toy purchase!
