    Hi guys,

I noticed a big problem with my USB on xps. The problem is that the transfer rate/speed is only 2,50-3 MB/s, which is slow for 2.0 standard. Any suggestions what I can do?

I'm using the newest BIOS, A12, and T7250.

What is the device to and from which you are transferring data and how are you measuring the speed? My first guess would be that your external device is only a USB 1.0/1.1 device?

Nope, the device is Apacer USB 2.0. I also tried with Kingston (aslo 2.0), but the speed showing in Vista box are 2,5-3MB/s.

Hmm... hard to say in that case; did this suddenly start happening recently? Just out of the blue? Even though Vista reports such slow speeds, does it actually take 100 seconds to transfer a 300MB file?

hmm...yah, how long does it take to transfer a file/s? maybe the time reporting in vista is somewhat off the scale. If things are really that slow, try installing the latest INF file for intel chipset.
