I don't know if this has been posted before. I think that this might spare you some of your time looking for these drivers.

Please note that these are not officially supported drivers and that I will not be held responsible if anything goes wrong during their use.

These are the latest drivers I could find. If you know of any new release, please send them to me, I'll try to keep this list updated.

Just a few small questions here...this means that we can't slipstream the INTEL Matrix driver during installation...right ? and must be installed after the installation.

We have to install in AHCI mode and Flash Cache Enabled mode from Bios to install Vista ...right ?

    Thanks

I used the SP1 disc of Vista Ultimate when I switched to 64 bit and did not have to load the Intel storage driver during installation. All went smooth even with AHCI enabled in the BIOS. Can anyone confirm if they were successful like me. Are these drivers now integrated in the SP1 disc?

I confirm that only the webcam driver is posted here not the apps. I have not tried this but I think that the apps on the webcam cd that you received may work on vista 64.

the webcam app claims to work on vista 64, regardless - no programs can initialize the camera and get video out of it... though they all recognize it as an input device.

I just had to register just so I could help you guys out. I have had the same bluetooth problem, I have successfully fixed it. This is due to having the bluetooth adapter off when installing Windows. Dell has a patch that will turn on the adapter and will now show the bluetooth led light. Once this patch is applied, then you can go about installing bluetooth drivers and software from Dell. :)

Are there any drivers not available for Vista x64?

Also, if I only have the original 64-bit Vista disc, not the SP1 one, should I expect any problems with the initial install?

Has anyone tried a different model or manufacturer touchpad driver? Everythin is working however the touchpad is driving me nuts with many of the same issues others have. I thought I saw a reference to trying one of the drivers for the dell workstation laptops.

I've tried several drivers listed on that site and am unable to get HDMI output to work. (s-video and rgb work fine.) Has anyone been able to get HDMI working (protected content and all) with a 64-bit driver and if so, could you link the driver used?

    I tried the 64-bit M6300 driver.

On the one hand, I really like the pointer behavior now. It seems smarter, more precise and better behaved.

On the other hand, the scrolling feature is gone.

I have an XPS M1530 and I have been lurking here and reading and doing a lot of info grabbing. Now i got everything on my M1530 working. Except the display drivers I have installed about thirty different drivers from LV2G. But dammit every driver that i install gives me BSOD i install the standard windows VGA adapter it works. Just my aero and dream scene doesn't work because my display driver is not correct. I have an 256MB 8600M GT. This is getting really frustrating. Also how do i get my touchpad to scroll left and right like it used to do in vista ultimate 32 i installed the syanptics driver as it says i have a synaptic touch pad.. I am almost fed up...

Installed SP1 and then the Network Drivers for the Marvell, everything appeared to install correctly, however it is reporting "media disconnected," when I do an ip config.

    The link lights aren't on.

I have tried cables and connections I know to work with other systems.

The network port was working before the re-format.

    Anyone have any other ideas?

    Upek Fingerprint Reader Driver
Intel Turbomemory - I strongly recommend this update as it solves many problems especially BSOD that I was having my Turbomemoy module.

    New member here.
Thanks a lot for all the drivers. Basically used this forum only for my upgrade to 64 bit. I also own a xps m1530. I have noticed with my upgrade however that the boot screen is different, i.e. it runs through three black screens with white text very rapidly right after the main DELL screen at the beggining with the BIOS version underneath. Although I have assumed that the new boot method came because of the 64 bit version, on the third page that it loads, I catch a glance at a line about 1/4 way down the screen that reads, "No memory found". Again, these screens flash very quickly so I can't read too much of what it says but I'm sure I saw those words, booted a few times to make sure. Anyone else notice this?

Anyone know where I can get the UPEK Fingerprint Reader Suite for 64-bit? I really need it as I use it for securing my files and my laptop at college. It's the last thing I need for Vista x64 before I go ahead and install it.

edit: Hopefully the Asus version works fine...might just try that.

Yeah I downloaded those ones from that file hosting thing too. So hopefully between the Asus ones and those, one of them will work.

What version of video drivers do all you 64-bit Vista users find best for your XPS M1530?
