We've heard all about the various screens available for the WXGA+ (1400x900) LCD on the XPS M1530 but does anyone know if there are alternatives to the standard 1280x800 WXGA screen that Dell can supply if pushed? Part numbers would be handy too.

Well son of crap, I've got an XPS with a Chunghwa on it's way to me. So this thing seems to be:

    A. Not too grainy
    B. Crap viewing angles
    C. Potentially severe light bleeding
    D. Not as bad as the Samsung
    E. Not as good as the LG

I guess I'll just hope for the best. Does anyone have any glowing reviews for the Chunghwa? (Dell p/n TM121)

The viewing angle thing is a bit troubling to me...

Perfect! Well I will just hope I get a good one I guess. If it's junk I think I might just send the whole thing back and reorder one with a 1440x900.

    Are you keeping yours?

I also have 1 m1530 with CPT LCD and it looks acceptable...that is until I put the other m1530 with LG side by side. Then it makes me wish that they only used LG's in their Laptops. But seriously,my particular CPT is fine on its own,and if I wasn't able to do a side by side comparison, wouldn't have even given it any more thought.
