    XPS M1530 Win-7 Dell Webcam Manager

    Hello,

    Installing Win-7 x64 on my M1530 and found that Dell Webcam Manager cannot run, gives error that the driver is not installed. The driver is Win-7 default driver.

    Any ideas/suggestions?

    What do you mean Win-7 default driver? Was that the driver from Dell site? And is the a new install or what? Also did you webcam work before?

    No, it means the default Win-7 driver, not Dell driver since Dell driver does not seem to work with Win-7 x64.

    Yes, new install of Win-7, Yes webcam is working, Yes, Dell webcam manager is working.

    Ok, with not much information to go on did you download the webcam manager fro Vistax64 as that will work fine with your Windows7x64 since Dell didn't have such driver for Windows7x64 but the Vista64 software/driver should work for your Dell. So go back and user your Service Tag at dell driver download site and make sure you select the Vista64 or Vista driver and that should work for your dell Webcam in Windows 7x64. Since you didn't list the driver link that makes it harder to know what exactly the driver you were using.
