I have a serious problem, about that error message, my computer has this error message "Generc process for win32 service has encpuntered a problem, and needs to close" and if i put "don't send" on this error message, then my computer just shuts down in about a minute, and there is nothing i can do..:S

And the problem is that I can't make windows update also..:S

I thought the problem is me, that i can't use computer, but my friend has a absolutely same computer, and he also has the same error message.

Please help, i really need it..:S

    Veider probleem.

What Event Viewer says about this? You should see the error code, post it here or google about it yourself.

I have the same problem which recently surfaced on one of my XP desktops. A system reset usually solves it until the next error message which seems to randomly strike. When it does pop up I am unable to access the internet or shutdown/restart the computer via the Start menu. The three-fingered salute doesn't work either.

A google search on this subject has yielded a plethora of possibilities of which I couldn't be bothered to sift through. I'll continue to narrow it down and hopefully come up with an answer. A Kaspersky scan does bring up some spyware and such so I'll go through that first.

Signal2Noise, what do you mean about system reset ----> Format..???
And yes, formatting repaires this problem, about in a month, and then it pops up again..
    this really pisses me of..

No, not a format. I mean just pressing the reset/reboot button on the computer case since a normal shutdown/restart via Windows will not work after the error appears.

And, of course it'll happen again even after a reformat/reinstall because I think this problem is due to some Windows Update along the line so it'll just get auto-installed again.
