    Ok...I ordered my dell XPS M1530---T9500---250gigs 7200rpm---4gigs of RAM---8600gt---LED LCD screen---Vista Ultimate---6 cell batery...no blueray

    So...anybody who got an XPS M1530 with THESE SPECS and LIVES AT MONTREAL, can you please tell me how much time it took you to get it?

    3 weaks!!! no.....thats impossible....most people get theres between 7 and 10 days dude...sometimes less, and rarely more...

    Not if you got a 6 cell battery. Polarix is right. You're looking at 2-3 weeks.

    WHAT??? that just doesnt make sense....why would a the option to take only a 6-cell take longer than the option with a 6-cell and 9-cell??? thats just not logical...

    The 9 cell option doesn't give you a 6 and a 9 cell, it ONLY gives you the 9 cell.

    But still...shouldnt the 6-cell battery make ur shipping time faster then the 9 cell?

    No. The 6-cell batteries are the standard ones that are selected by default. They're having issues getting shipments of them in on time, and since it is the default selected option for batteries (which, for the most part, people don't change), they're getting backed up.

    My first order of m1530 I was suppose to get it in 1 1/2 weeks, thats with the 6 cell battery. when the ship date came and went I called and asked about it and they told me about the whole 6 cell and 9 cell thing, so now I had to wait 3 to 4 weeks. I cancelled my order and reordered a new computer with a 9 cell battery. that was on 6-10, est. ship date 6-18, got it 6-16. Now, mine is not as powerfull as y'all's "2Ghz, 160 HD but I was told by taking the 9 cell, along with a 30% discount, I would get it sooner, even faster than the 4 cell. GO 9 CELL ALL THE TIME.

    Hey, congrat's on your purchase! ;) Didn't you get an estimated shipping date?

    Sometimes, the estimated shipping date is *over-estimated* and you could get it sooner, than the latter. ;)

    It really, all depends, on the time in production (build process) and how long it takes to get your notebook..Usually, if there are no problems with parts, and such..the process will go smoothly ;) :)

    Mine took almost 3 weeks to get to me ~ but that was due to a *back-order* problem on the Wireless N card...If, there wouldn't have been a problem with that, I would've had it w/in 7-9 days ;) :)

    You can also, track the progress/status of your order online & by phone with Dell ;) :)

    I am in the US and waited 5 weeks for a similar spec'd system. Usually 2 - 5 weeks is the time frame. Some people do get it in a little under 2 weeks...but that seems rare.

    well I'm in Toronto and i ordered mine about a week ago.. they say the estimated time is in 2 and a half more weeks and i got the 6 cell at least i got my belkin sleeve in a few days.. my empty sleeve

    I just ordered M1530 midnight blue with T9300, LED screen, 4GB, 8600M GT, Wireless N, BT, and 320GB Harddrive. It's Summer Sales with $599 off. The estimated ship date is 7/8.
