    Is it possible to use either the VGA or the HDMI ports as inputs to display on the laptop screen?

    u need a TV tuner if u want to have input, like xbox... or s-video-in for camcorders/...

    or a video capture card, but i think a tv tuner works better..

    u'll definitely get some lag while doing this
