    Hello,

I have a different problem that I have never seen before, with my laptop dell XPS M1530.

When I power up, it doesnt show anything on the monitor, but it is on. when I connect it on a external monitor it shows that it is working and just the LCD is black.

But the different problem that I said is that:

When I just disconect and connect again the power cable from the laptop the monitor works.
I mean, I have just to remove the power cable and connect it again and the monitor appear working fine.
After that I can leave the laptop without the power cable and it still working fine.

I took another LCD from my friend that has the same model and after change it still with the same failure.

Have you guys, seem before a failure like this one?

Do you have any idea of what kind of problem is this?

    thanks and Regards

    Hello Elio Gerhardt,

I do see that this is an old post and I hope that the issue is resolved by now, however, if the issue is not fixed, please try the below steps.

    1) Please try to reset the BIOS to the factory defaults. (Tap the F2 key when after turning the computer on and from the exit menu; select the option "Load Defaults".)
    2) Try to update the BIOS on the computer and check. You can download the latest BIOS for the computer at
Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States]

Please post back with the status of the issue.
