    Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a brand m1530 and am quite pleased with it...

That is, besides the fact my notebook does not sit flush with the desk when opened. It sits perfectly fine when unopened, but sits stable only on three corners leaving the left side next to the touch pad unstable and wobbly.

I literally have to place four business cards underneath in order to make it stable.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this indicative of a defective case? I am ready to return the machine since I am within the 21 day exchange period, but I am afraid the turn-around time will hinder me with my school work since I have only six weeks until graduation. How is Dell with Returns and shipping out a new notebook? Is there any way that I can use this situation to my advantage when I talk to the Customer Service Rep?

It is horrible that I spent the past two weeks hoping that my notebook was not shipped with the dreaded samsung lcd panel, only to find out that I now have to return my m1530 with an LG equipped lcd panel. Now , I can begin the worrying once again...

There are multiple discussions here regarding this flaw.
Your best bet is to return it to Dell, unless you want to straighten it out yourself by bending the uneven side - not advisable.

If you request a replacement from DELL, they'll let you use the one you have now untill you get the new one. Then, when you get the new system you have up to 2 weeks to send it back to DELL.
