    Hi guys,
I received my XPS 1530 April 10th and it had an AUO monitor.
The panel had more light on the left side like u can see clearly in pics n°8 and 9.
    Other customers reported this issue.

I had a second laptop with a Samsung monitor but it was 20-30% less bright, colours were without life, it was less detailed and grainy.

I did a comparison if u are interested in it.

On the left the Samsung SEC3157 and on the right the AUO2077:

In a few pics the white bars aren't white... not so grey, like in the pic, but they arent white... i don't know why.
In the AUO (right) you can see there is a different brightness and different greys between left and right :

Here in Italy there are many customers dissatisfied just for these panels...
This is the biggest italian forum and they speak about it here:

Please note that this is what Dell sent to me and i expressed my personal opinion.
Maybe you'll have different panels or opinions.

    Why? :)

Everyone is free to consider these panels good or not.
If these "problems" are common or not.
    You choose. :)

    Good post.

I got the AUO too. It's so much better than the Samsung. My sister's Inspiron 1525 has the Samsung and it's so grainy and dull just like in the pictures.

Some people say the AUO is horrible compared to the LG. The LG must be beyond amazing then because the AUO looks perfect to me.

I'd REALLY like to see an AUO vs LG comparison so I can see exactly how much better it is...
