I'm getting a strange problem with my M1530 at the moment- when I move it it loses the internet, instead saying "limited access". I then try to disconnect it from the wireless it then can't find the network to reconnect.

I get this problem in multiple forms- whether i move my laptop open or shut, and when i move it in sleep mode (when it comes back on it loses connection). Now I kind of get why moving it in sleep mode may lose it as it turns off the wireless connection, but moving it on, and open? I really don't see why it is happening. Also, surely sleep mode should recover the wireless connection be reconnecting, but it basically doesn't.
Note: If i don't move it and wake it up from sleep mode, it works fine. No problems.

    Anyone have any ideas?

If you're not actually changing from one access point to another, you may have a loose antenna. How do you usually have to fix this problem?

When you move it with it open are you going from plugged in on ac to not plugged in back to plugged in on ac? Or are you not on ac and you move the laptop from one place to another and this occurs. What are your power settings set at for your wireless card and in general? It might be better to place this in the network and wireless section tho.

I usually just restart and it finds it again on restart.

I am unplugging it then generally plugging it in again, although sometimes it stays on battery. If of course have to unplug it to move it any distance- simply around the room or something on one plug makes no difference.
I tried changing the energy settings for the wireless, giving it more power and it *appears* to have worked. I'll test it again and report back. Thanks for that- i didn't think of it.
If it doesn't i'll put this in the wireless and networking forums thanks.

No problem, and if it does keep doing it you may be able to get a mod to move it for you so a entire new thread doesn't have to be started.
