    Hey everybody, I'm looking at adding more GB to my laptop memory wise, and I believe I remember reading before that the M1530 will only run 667mhz ram and not anything faster.

    I've searched and people recommend 667mhz but is it possible to get it running faster spec ram?

    No, it's a limitation of the mobile chipset, and lack of BIOS options to change it.

    Yes PM/GM965 fastest RAM support is 667. You can buy DDR2 800 and it will automatically downclock.
