    Hi guys,

I've been having a couple of issues with the Laptop. Mainly of my own doing to be fair - but I may need your/someone at Dells help to fix it.

When I got the laptop home I noticed that there were over 61 processes running in WindowsXPHome. As you know, that's a LOT for a gaming pc! Since there were a lot of programs pre-installed that I wouldn't be using I formatted the HD and re-installed using the WindowsXPHome Reinstallation CD and the Drivers and Utilities CD provided by Dell.

Where I think I went wrong was that I removed the three partitions and merged them into one drive.

Now - Windows works just fine and obviously the processes are low, which is great for the gaming. HOWEVER I have the following issues.

1: MediaDirect (A button on the laptop) no longer works in Windows - though I HAVE managed to get it to now work from boot (pressing the MediaDirect button rather than the power button)

2: The cool lights on the laptop case no longer rotate in colour/intensity and the option is no longer in the Dell application interface. While i CAN manually select the colours, I cant get it to react to the music or run "moods" since the options are no longer there!

3: I don't have any of the third party applications that came pre-installed on the system and would like them. Things like the Firewall/Anti-Virus program.

4: I am sure that other things are probably missing but since i formatted within the 1st 24 hours, i wouldn't know what else i'm missing from this set-up.

Do you have any suggestions on how to get these back? Should dell have provided me with some kind of image restore disk? I only have 2 CD's. 1 = WindowsXPHomeSP2 Restore. 2 = Drivers&Utilities.

As you can understand, these aren't critical issues, but they are really annoying and I'd like to get them sorted asap. Realistically I want to get the PC back to as it was when dell delivered it to me 3 days ago (partitions and all) and i'll work back from there knowing what I know now.

Thank you to anyone that can help me.
