My son just loaded rocksmith on the old xps running xp. When it loads up we get a microsoft error message.
I have a couple options, either upgrade the ram and probably BIOS, maybe the graphics card if possible to update with windows 7 or get him a new pc, which I want to avoid!
It has the Duo core 2 @ 2.66 ghz, 7950GTX GeoForce Go video card, only 2mb ram, and 150 gig hd.
I ran Belarc advisor and it says the unit is 64 bit ready, so I could try a clean install and see how that goes. Appreciate any tips.

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
So... are you asking about what upgrades you should make or are you asking about how to solve your error? I'm not quite sure I understand what your question is.

The only thing you will be able to upgrade is the ram (Max 4GB) and the hard drive.
Windows 7 will work and you should stay with 32bit.
