Hi, i'm jason and i've been trying to find some sort of software online to use the smart card reader thats built into my XPS M1710 laptop.

I have the driver for it and a few smart cards, but nothing happens when i put them in. So i tried searching online for programs that utilize them and have so far turned up nothing.

does anyone know how to get this to work?

What exactly are you trying to do? Installing the Dell driver off their site should enable the device. Possibly enabling it through the device manager and/or the power manager may also be necessary, but just insert a memory card and it should pop up with question as to what action it should preform. Also, are you trying SDHC or SD cards above 2 GB, as some readers do not support them with stock drivers.
