Iv got my XPS M1730 last week and bought Half Life 2: Orange Box.
I played through Half Life 2, Portal, and Teamn Fortress, but i seem to have problems with Half Life 2 Episode One. (Havent tried Episode Two yet).
The problems is that when the maps are loading, the game engine sometimes crashes. It is not a mjor problem but it kinds of get annoying when i want to continously play the game.
Is anyone facing the same problem and does anyone know if there is any patch or fixes that Microsoft or Valve provided?

Did you try disabling the SLI to see how it reacted?

Maybe a hotfix is in need here, check around to see if there are any updated announced for this issue. That or a driver update/rollback is needed.

Yep, EP1 crashed 3 times for me, so it's not a SLI issue. However, none of the other games in the OB crashes, so I'm just ignoring it for now. If I were to guess, I'd say it's a driver issue.

Yeah, but that's ruled out by the fact that the other 4 games don't freeze while they all share the same engine.

The Half Life 2 Episode Two worked perfectly and very smooth even if its still using the same Source game engine.
